Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo Given 2011 American Architecture Honors

The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture & Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies have announced that Studio Gang has been awarded a 2011 American Architecture Award for the Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo.

Begun in 2000, the Awards are the "highest and most prestigious distinguished building awards program in the United States that honors new and cutting-edge design." Studio Gang's Nature Boardwalk was chosen from a record number of submitted new building, landscape architecture, and urban planning projects designed in the U.S. and abroad to be one of 46 winners in 2011.

Awarded projects will be exhibited in Buenos Aires in October 2011 at the Athenaeum and Centre's annual symposium, as well as in conjunction with the 13th International Architecture Biennial in Venice in the fall of 2012.
