Bio

Josh was fortunate to grow up with a close friend whose family owned a sawmill that provided an endless supply of material for building rafts, go-carts, and tree houses. His decision to become an architect was solidified when the energy and creativity of working on his first studio assignment—drawing an "Invisible City" on an 18" x 24" sheet of paper—felt a lot like building those same rafts, go-carts, and tree houses. After attending graduate school and then working for six years in New York City, Josh returned to the Midwest, closer to where he grew up and the Quetico-Superior country that he loves to escape to whenever he has the chance.

Bachelor of Architecture, University of Minnesota
Masters of Architecture, Columbia University

Why SGA?

Because it's a place where, once again, making things has the energy and creativity of building rafts, go-carts, and tree houses.
