Bio

Kara is a lifelong Midwesterner who finds traveling to be an inexhaustible resource for reference, perspective, and inspiration. She would say that there is a similar provocation in the work at Studio Gang: a need to engage issues with fresh perspectives and a desire for discovery. Having joined the studio in its second year, she’s seen it emerge and thrive by working this way.

Kara received a Masters of Architecture with High Distinction from the University of Michigan, where she won the Graduate Thesis Design Award. She also holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University.
