Michan Walker

Senior Project Leader

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Michan followed his interest in art and design to the States, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York’s Cooper Union. His growing interest in architecture led him to the Illinois Institute of Technology, where 40 years earlier his architect father had studied under Mies van der Rohe. While earning his Master of Architecture at IIT, Michan completed a residency at the John David Mooney Foundation as a Walter Netsch Fellow; he was also awarded the Stein Ray Distinguished Student and Myron Goldsmith awards. In 2010, following a number of years as a principal at Built Form Architecture, he joined SGA.

Why SGA?

The opportunity to work in a world of ideas, and the daily pursuit of exploration and discovery.
